The lymphatic system protects the body from infection and disease. It is made up of lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, lymphocytes and lymph. Lymph is the interstitial fluid that flows through the vessels.
Lymph is propelled through the lymphatic system when we move and breathe. For people that don’t move enough throughout the day, or get too little exercise may be leaving their immune system compromised.
Why get lymph drainage massage?
A gentle massage technique is used to manually encourage the natural drainage of the lymph. The purpose of lymph drainage is to carry waste away from the tissues and towards the heart by using light, rhythmic hand movements. Dry brushing can be used in combination with lymph drainage massage at no extra charge.
